Funds grants to support and document promising practices to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and outcomes of senior nutrition programs and services for older people.

Supports sodium reduction efforts already made by industry, provides targets to define and measure progress, and offers companies with time to meet these targets.

Establishes and enhances nutrition centers of excellence to train future and current MCH nutrition professionals. 

Gives states additional flexibility to design and improve their programs by approving experimental, pilot, or demonstration projects to promote the objectives of Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Allows states to provide home and community-based services to individuals who would otherwise need institutional care.
