Summary

People who get enough potassium are less likely to have high blood pressure. But most people in the United States don’t get enough potassium. Some dietary interventions that promote eating lots of fruits and vegetables, like the DASH diet, may help people get enough potassium. In addition, encouraging people to use the Nutrition Facts label can help them track their consumption of potassium.
