The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends provider assessment and feedback interventions to increase screening for colorectal cancer with fecal occult blood testing (FOBT). These interventions evaluate and offer feedback on how well health care providers deliver and offer screenings. Feedback may be given on an individual level or to a group of providers, and it may be compared with a goal or standard. CPSTF found insufficient evidence to determine whether these interventions increase colorectal cancer screening with methods other than FOBT.
