Syphilis Infection During Pregnancy: Screening

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends screening all pregnant women for syphilis infection as early as possible in their pregnancy. If a woman isn’t screened early in pregnancy, she should be screened at the first available opportunity.
