The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends community mobilization, combined with other interventions, to reduce youth tobacco use and access to commercially sold tobacco products. These are community-wide interventions that focus public attention on youth access to tobacco products and mobilize support for efforts to reduce access. CPSTF found that community mobilization is effective when combined with efforts like:

Stronger local laws directed at retailers
Enforcement of retailer sales laws
Retailer education with reinforcement
