The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends internet-based interventions to increase tobacco cessation in people who use tobacco. These interventions use websites to provide evidence-based information, strategies, and behavioral support for people who want to quit using tobacco. CPSTF found that internet-based interventions increase cessation 6 or more months after the intervention.
