The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends interventions that actively promote and provide on-site  flu vaccines for health care workers. When health care workers get the flu vaccine, there are fewer cases of flu among health care workers and patients. Sites can provide these interventions on their own or as part of a multicomponent intervention. Vaccines are offered on-site and may be provided:

  • At cost, reduced cost, or no cost
  • With health education and mobile units
  • In clinics or at multiple locations
