Summary
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in American men. Death rates from prostate cancer are much higher in some groups than others. Research shows that closely monitoring prostate cancer is an effective way to reduce the prostate cancer death rate in men who are diagnosed early.
