Number of visits to non-Federal physicians in office-based practices by ambulatory patients aged 20 years and over with obesity (a body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher), in which health education related to weight reduction, nutrition, or physical activity was ordered or provided.

Number of visits to non-Federal physicians in office-based practices by ambulatory patients aged 20 years and over with obesity (a BMI of 30 kg/m2 or higher).

Methodology notes

BMI is calculated by dividing weight in kilograms by the square of height in meters. Obesity is defined as a BMI of 30.0 or greater.
