The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force found insufficient evidence to recommend for or against screening for primary open-angle glaucoma in adults. Primary open-angle glaucoma is the most common form of glaucoma. This recommendation applies to adults age 40 years and older who don’t have symptoms of glaucoma. This recommendation doesn’t apply to adults who have symptoms of vision loss or another type of glaucoma.
