The Healthy People 2030 objective MPS-01 tracks this important issue. The baseline for this Healthy People 2030 objective is 25.6 estimated ED visits per 10,000 children under 5 years of age, which was observed during 2016-2017, and the target rate to be achieved by the end of the decade is 16.6 ED visits per 10,000 children under 5 years of age — an additional 35 percent reduction.
