Elana Meyers Taylor was appointed as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition on March 24, 2023, for a 2-year term.
Ms. Meyers Taylor is the most decorated Black athlete in Winter Olympic history, winning 5 Olympic medals in 4 Olympic Games for Team USA in the sport of bobsled. She graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Sport Management, where she was a 5-time team captain and MVP for the softball team. Additionally, she was an Academic All-American and then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management. In 2019, Meyers Taylor served as President of the Women’s Sports Foundation. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the Board of Trustees for the Women’s Sports Foundation, and the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities. She is married to Nic Taylor and mother to Nico and Noah.
