National Clinical Care Commission

The National Clinical Care Commission is no longer active.

Between 2018 and 2021, the National Clinical Care Commission (the Commission or NCCC) evaluated and provided recommendations to improve federal programs related to complex metabolic or autoimmune diseases that represent a significant disease burden in the United States. The Secretary of Health and Human Services approved and filed the NCCC charter [PDF - 246 KB] on April 3, 2020. The Commission consisted of 23 voting members from relevant government agencies. The Assistant Secretary for Health provided guidance and oversight for the Commission’s function and activities. ODPHP provided management and support services for the Commission’s activities.

While it was active, the Commission held regular meetings to discuss its recommendations and develop its report. Check out meeting agendas, video recordings, and summaries.

Report to Congress

In January 2022, the Commission submitted its report to Congress and the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Learn more and download the full report
