Healthy People Webinar Series Kick-Off: Connecting Healthy People 2020 and Healthy People 2030

On Thursday, March 31st the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) hosted the inaugural webinar of the Healthy People 2030 Webinar Series. Titled Bridging Healthy People 2020 and Healthy People 2030, the webinar featured presentations from NCHS and ODPHP leadership on high-level progress made at the end of Healthy People 2020, the transition to Healthy People 2030, and elements of Healthy People 2030.

In addition to a providing a brief overview of the Healthy People initiative by RDML Paul Reed, Director of ODPHP, the webinar also featured a discussion on data modernization and the future of data visualization at NCHS with Dr. Brian Moyer, Director of NCHS, as well as an overview of Healthy People 2020 achievements and available resources as the initiative transitions into a new decade provided by Dr. Irma Arispe, Director of the Division of Analysis and Epidemiology at NCHS.

The Healthy People 2030 Webinar Series will occur throughout the decade and feature the latest data for Leading Health Indicators (LHIs), Overall Health and Well-Being Measures, and Healthy People 2030 Objectives.
