On September 14 the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) hosted the third installment of the Healthy People 2030 Webinar Series, Cancer Prevention and Healthy People 2030: Goals, Objectives, and Implementation.

The deadline to submit a nomination for the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee is this Friday, July 15 at 11:59 p.m. E.T. The role of the Committee is to review the current body of nutrition science and develop a scientific report to help inform the next edition of Dietary Guidelines for Americans. To inform the expertise needed on the Committee, HHS and USDA provided an overview of the scientific topics and health outcomes that the Committee will be asked to address. Scientists with expertise in nutrition and health who meet the selection criteria are highly encouraged to nominate themselves to serve on the Committee.
