Earlier this year, staff from ODPHP, along with other federal partners at CDC and NIH, organized a listening session to identify key research areas that may help inform the third edition of the "Physical Activity Guidelines" (Guidelines). While the next edition of the Guidelines is not expected to be released until 2028, discussions among the global health and physical activity communities about what to include are already well underway.

There’s still time to register to view the livestream of the final meeting of the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee on Monday, October 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, and Tuesday, October 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET. At this meeting the Committee will review and discuss the scientific findings and advice that will be included in its Scientific Report and federal staff will discuss next steps in the process to develop the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030.
